Alessia Raineri<\/strong> is an internationally recognised expert in early<\/b>\u00a0multilingualism<\/strong> et dyslexia,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>helping families and educators support children in thriving across multiple languages.<\/span>\u00a0She holds a PhD in multilingual acquisition from the University of Zurich and brings over a decade of research experience in bilingual and multilingual development. Her research interest are in\u00a0<\/span>children with neurodevelopmental<\/b> et sensory differences, multilingualism across the lifespan, and interculturality.<\/b><\/span><\/p>

In 2023, she founded <\/span>Multilingual Land<\/b>, a consultancy that provides tailored advice to parents, along with research-informed workshops and workbooks. She has supported hundreds of families in navigating the challenges of raising multilingual children.<\/span><\/p>

Multilingual herself and a certified ISL teacher<\/b>, Alessia has spent over 15 years teaching languages to children and adults across Europe and beyond. This hands-on experience informs the practical, research-based strategies she now shares with families through Multilingual Land<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

Alessia is the mother of three multilinguals<\/b>, currently aged 13, 10, and 6, who are growing up as global citizens speaking French, Italian, Dutch, and English. Her family is based in southwest France, near the Atlantic coast and the Spanish border.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Since 2024, she has collaborated as a <\/span>guest professor<\/strong> at the Zhejiang University of Technology,\u00a0<\/strong>following her first stay in Hangzhou, China.<\/span><\/p>

When she\u2019s not working at Multilingual Land<\/strong>, Alessia enjoys painting and spending time in nature.\u00a0One of her driving passions is sharing her deep curiosity about languages and cultural diversity – and helping others build confident, joyful multilingual lives.<\/span><\/p>

Multilingual LAND: Where Passion Meets Expertise<\/strong><\/h3>

Alessia founded Multilingual LAND<\/strong> as a passion project that brings together her academic research, hands-on experience in applied linguistics, and her lived experience as a multilingual mother. It\u2019s a space where science, empathy, and practical support meet to serve families raising children with two or more languages.<\/p>

Consultations Based on Her PhD Research<\/strong><\/h3>

In her consultations with families, Alessia applies the same research-based method<\/strong> she developed during her PhD.<\/p>

She begins with an in-depth analysis of each family’s unique multilingual environment \u2014 considering all the social, emotional, and linguistic factors involved. Based on this, she provides tailored guidance<\/strong> and creates a custom Family Language Plan<\/strong>, designed to support each child\u2019s multilingual development with clarity and confidence.<\/p>

Multilingual Development Screening for Language Delay<\/strong><\/h3>

Alessia is also trained to conduct multilingual developmental screenings<\/strong> using research-validated parenting tools, including adapted versions of the MacArthur-Bates CDI<\/strong> in a wide range of languages.<\/p>

Her services may include school mediation, written reports, and referrals \u2014 as well as providing trusted contacts and resources to support the child and family beyond the consultation.<\/p>
